Alta Bates Summit Medical Center has deep roots in the community tracing its heritage back more than 100 years through Alta Bates, Herrick, Merritt, Peralta and Providence Hospitals. It is indeed a rich heritage. The Legacy Society honors those individuals who have included Alta Bates Summit in their will or have made other planned giving arrangements that benefit the Medical Center. Donors who make these gifts often want to ensure that their values will continue for many years to come through the programs their gifts will endow. The purpose of the Legacy Society is to recognize and thank the donors who make Alta Bates Summit part of their estate plans.

Membership in the Legacy Society is permanent; that is, it continues from year to year as long as the planned estate gift is in effect. All that is necessary to become a member is to inform us of the provision you have made in your plans. The amount is not a factor and does not have to be disclosed; only the fact that you have made a commitment is necessary. You may remain anonymous about your plans by requesting that your name not be included in published lists of Society members. Please contact us for the important details.
